SheaMoisture Sensitive Skin Mud Mask | First Impression

Today I am sharing my first impressions of SheaMoisture’s Peace Rose Sensitive Skin Mud Mask.

Initially, I wasn’t that impressed because I didn’t feel that there was a huge difference in my skin. However, after my moisturizer disappeared, my skin was still very soft and didn’t feel as dry as it normally would.

Sephora Cushion Foundation and Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder | Hit or Miss?

Today I am sharing my first impressions of Sephora’s Wonderful Cushion Foundation and Laura Mercier’s Translucent Setting Powder.

Overall, I liked the formula of the cushion foundation. However, the shade was NOT a match for me and I was extremely disappointed since the shade I purchased is the deepest shade they offer. I was VERY pleased with the setting powder. It’s nice that it comes in a shade for deeper skintones. It even warmed up the foundation. It just wasn’t able to warm it up enough to take the ash away.

I recommend both products, but only if you can find the foundation in a shade that matches your skin tone. If you are fairer, you won’t have an issue with that.

Thanks for watching!

Simple Fall Makeup Look

I loved my makeup so much the other day that I felt like dedicating an entire post to breakdown my look! I think it’s a very simple, but beautiful, fall look. In general, I like for my makeup to be very natural and I do not like to use a lot of cosmetic products on my face. Alright, let’s see what I used:

Face

Aquaphor to moisturize

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Amande under my eyes, around my nose, and around my mouth

Lorac TANtalizer Baked Bronzer on cheekbones

Brows

Ofra Cosmetics Universal Brow Pencil

Eyes

ColourPop Super Shock Eyeshadows in Nillionaire and Stereo

Julep When Pencil Met Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Blacquer 42 on waterline

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara in Black

Lips

Bite Beauty Line & Define Lip Primer

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Notion

How to ACTUALLY ENJOY Group Travel

Check out this dope article written by my friend, Sydney! If you love to travel with a group, but sometimes get turned off by doing group activities, this post is for you! It provides some insight into how to do your own thing while not completely dissing your group!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Topaz Review + Swatches!

After searching high and low for the perfect highlighter, I think I may have found THE ONE! The Becca highlighters are raved about on all of the blogs and they come highly recommended, so I figured it was time for me to shell out the $38 so that I could see what all of the fuss is about. I am so glad I did! Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector is IT! The skin perfectors come in three formulas: liquid, poured, and pressed. I purchased the pressed formula because I wanted the shimmer to be as noticeable as possible, and from the reviews, pressed was the way to go! Topaz is the perfect shade for my complexion! It gives me the perfect natural glow! I love how buttery smooth this powder is. You really do not need much product to make sure cheekbones pop! Also, from what I have read, the more product you use, the more noticeable your pores will be, so keep it light. The best way to achieve this is to use a light feathery brush…like a fan brush, stipple brush, or an angled bronzer brush. I use an angled bronzer brush to apply it to the tops of my cheekbones.

ColourPop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Lip Color Review + Swatches

Last month I got a chance to try out ColourPop Cosmetics lipsticks for the first time and I fell in absolute LOVE with them! The quality was fantastic for the price and the color range is so broad! There is a literally a color that will look good on anybody’s complexion and will be perfect for any occasion. So after that purchase, of course I had to buy more lip products!

This time, in addition to their lippie stix (there will be a review of these later), I had to try out the Ultra Matte Lip Colors. The ultra matte lip colors come in a liquid to matte formula. They have a doe foot wand applicator which makes applying the lip color super easy and precise. The formula is not drying like other liquid to matte formulas and the color payoff is super rich and opaque! Also, the color lasts forever without fading! I ate and drank and really didn’t have to reapply. It’s best that you exfoliate your lips prior to applying and apply a lip primer to make the application smooth and less drying on your lips.

Now, on to the good stuff! I purchased these in the colors LAX and Guess. LAX is a deep blackened red…almost like a rust color. It is so beautiful on! It looks great on all complexions! I have been looking for a deep red like this and am so glad I finally found a winner! I have worn this color so many times within the last couple of weeks. It is my new go to!

Guess is a blackened purple. Super vampy and super sexy! I love a dark purple lip and this one is definitely it! I used to wear Cyber by MAC as my go to dark lip, but over time, it just seemed to not be as dark as I wanted it to be. Enter Guess by ColourPop and I am sold! It is my new go to color for a night out! I cannot wait to wear it on my next night out on the town.

What do you think about these colors? I think I will give them away for my next giveaway! Thoughts?
