What Are My Top 5 Lippies for the Fall/Winter?

It’s that time of the year again! The time to pull out all of your dark lippies for the cooler months…a.k.a. My favorite time of the year! When I tell you I live for a dark lipstick, Honey I LIVE for a dark lipstick. I feel super sexy in a darker lipstick. Now, granted my top 5 go to lip colors for this season are not all dark and vampy, they are still perfect for the season because they are browns, deep reds, and deep berries. Let’s get into my favorite fall/winter lippies now!

Note: This list is in no way, shape, or form, all inclusive. Just a quick top 5 list.

Wet n Wild Beauty Silk Finish Lipstick in Mink Brown, $0.99

I loveeee Wet n Wild lipsticks (you’ll be able to tell this after reading this post). For less than $2, the quality is amazing. They are super moisturizing and long lasting! They have sooo many different colors to choose from and you can buy them all for less than you would pay for a designer lipstick brand. So, that means, definitely worth buying!

Anyway, Mink Brown is such a beautiful shade of brown. It’s kind of a caramel shade. I get so many compliments when I wear this lipstick! Definitely a color that should be in your collection!

Wet n Wild Beauty MegaLast Lip Colors in Cherry Bomb, $1.99
Now Cherry Bomb is one of my all time favorite lip colors! I love the deep brick red color. It compliments my skin tone so well. I actually wear this one year round because the color is just so amazing! Fun fact: This color is a dupe of MAC Sin. So, save your coins and buy this one instead!

MAC Lipstick in Cyber, $17.00

Cyber is a color I cannot live without! I love wearing this lipstick when I am going out for dinner or for a night out on the town. It is a very intense blackish purple. Definitely a color that makes me feel very sexy! No matter what, I will always have this color in my collection!

MAC Lipstick in Dark Side, $17.00
Dark Side was one of the very first lipsticks I ever bought from MAC. If you love a deep burgundy lipstick, then I would definitely recommend this color!

Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in Dark Wine, $0.99

Dark Wine is another one of my faves from Wet n Wild. The color is just that, a dark wine. I love the smooth texture of this lipstick and the color payoff…another winner for the fall!

My Lip Regime

So, I am absolutely crazy about my lips. My lips are my favorite feature on my face. With that said, that means I must take great care of my lips. I am so crazy about my lips that I have about four products that I put on my lips BEFORE applying lipstick. Below I have outlined the products and my process. Enjoy! 🙂

First, I outline the area outside of my natural lip line using the e.l.f. Lip Lock Pencil. I use this to keep my lipstick from feathering or budging outside of my lip line. It sells for $3 on e.l.f.’s website.

Second, I line and fill in my lips using the No Bleeding Lips Secret Lip Liner. It is an invisible liner which I prefer to use as my daily lip liner because I don’t have to worry about finding a lip liner that complements the lip color I am wearing that day. It sells for $15 on Sephora’s website.

Next, I prime my lips using Aquaphor (sold at any drugstore or grocery store and sells for approximately $4) and MAC Prep + Prime Lip, $16.50 on MAC’s website. I probably don’t have to use both, but I started and I just can’t stop. lol! I use both of these to moisturize my lips before applying my lipstick, no matter what kind of lipstick I am using. I do this because my lips dry out really easily, which is even more of a problem when wearing lipstick.

Lastly, I apply my lip color of the day and GO! Easy peasy!

What is your routine for applying your lipsticks and glosses? What products do you use? Let me know in the comments!
