SquareHue The Adventure Collection: Ice Skate Rockefeller Center | December 2016

Christmas is almost hereeeeeee!!! I am SO excited! Christmas is my favorite holiday! I love seeing all of the  lights and decorations everywhere! It just makes me so happy! So seeing the polishes in this month’s SquareHue box just added to my excitement! Each shade is spot on for the holiday season!

*Scroll down to watch the video for instructions to enter my giveaway!*

Don’t these shades make  you just want to burst out into Christmas songs?? Or is it just me??? lol

Okay, so let’s discuss these shades! My favorite shade in the box is “Rudolph.” Bet ya can’t guess which shade that is!?! Well of course it’s that beautiful red shimmer! DUH! LOL! I CANNOT wait to use this polish for Christmas day! The gold shimmer in it is everything! Also, this polish is opaque in two coats. My second favorite shade is “Jingle Bells.” I love how glossy and metallic this shade is! This shade is also opaque in 2 coats. The final shade is “Frosty.” It is a sheer pearl shimmer. It is pretty, but I will use it to add a little “umph” to another polish since I do not wear sheer polishes alone. It also takes about 3 coats to really be able to see it. I actually wish they would have given us an emerald green shade for the third polish, if I’m being honest. This box really would’ve popped if it did!

SquareHue is a nail polish subscription where you can receive either 3 full size polishes a month for $21 or 2 polishes for $16 a month, depending on your preference. Every month, I am pleasantly surprised with the color variety that is always spot on with the theme of the year/month. With every subscription, a portion of the proceeds are contributed to prevention awareness of human trafficking.

Which shade is your favorite in this box? Let me know in the comments!

SquareHue The Adventure Collection: Museum Hop Paris | November 2016

SquareHue is a nail polish subscription where you can receive either 3 full size polishes a month for $21 or 2 polishes for $16 a month, depending on your preference. Every month, I am pleasantly surprised with the color variety that is always spot on with the theme of the year/month. I really love every single color in this month’s box! My favorite is Pompidou. It is a coppery brown holographic polish. This is my favorite because of the holographic finish. I try to get a holographic polish in every Julep box because I just loveee how the polish makes it look like you have a galaxy on your nails. It’s so sparkly and just amazing!

Louvre is a beautiful matte gray. I am excited about this color because I love gray nail polishes, it’s a matte finish which is super on trend currently, and I don’t think I’ve ever used a matte polish before.

The third color is also super on trend! It is called d’Orsay and it has a high gloss creme finish. Peach tones are all the hype, so I’m not surprised to see this shade in this month’s box. I love the way it looks on the nail wheel, I can’t say whether or not I’ll love it on my hands though. We shall find out soon enough!

Louvre and d’Orsay are opaque in two coats. It took 3 coats for Pompidou to become opaque.

Aren’t they beautiful??

SquareHue The Adventure Collection: Gondola Venice | October 2016

Ahhhh!!!! My favorite monthly subscription box is here! I am so excited to review this box again! My last review was in March, so it’s been a while! For those who don’t know, SquareHue is a nail polish subscription where you can receive either 3 full size polishes a month for $21 or 2 polishes for $16 a month, depending on your preference. Every month, I am pleasantly surprised with the color variety that is always spot on with the theme of the year/month. With every subscription, a portion of the proceeds are contributed to prevention awareness of human trafficking.

Okay, now that we have the business out of the way, let’s talk about nail polishhhh!!!! Fall is officially here and SquareHue is fully aware of that from the shades in this box. If you followed my blog earlier this year, you know that each box this year fit in with the overarching adventure theme and the colors chosen matched that individual location theme. The theme for this month is “Gondola Venice.” I’ve never been to Venice, Italy, but it’s definitely on my bucket list to visit soon! As you can see from the picture on the card included with the box below, every color in the box was pulled from the picture!

My favorite polish in this box is called Santa Marie del Giglio. It is a mushroom grey shade and a perfect neutral for the cooler months. This polish has a high gloss creme finish. Next up we have a gorgeous berry red shade called Campo San Moise! I love any shade of red, whether its for my nails or my lip! So, I’m definitely excited to have a red in this box! My least favorite color in this box is Canal Grande. It is a teal shade with what looks like blue, silver, and maybe purple shimmer. The only reason I’m not super excited about this shade is because I feel like there has been a shade of blue in half of the boxes this year! Lol! Either way, I will still wear it at some point!

What’s your favorite nail polish in this box? Do you think I should giveaway a gift subscription to SquareHue? Let me know in the comments!

Nails of the Week | Mambo by SquareHue

This polish was in the Decades Collection: 1940 box. I reviewed the box here. I really like this burnt orange color that Mambo gives me. In the bottle, it looked much darker than it actually does on my hands. It is the perfect transition color from winter to spring or summer to fall.  Of course, as with every SquareHue polish, it lasted for days without ever chipping. I’m a loyal SquareHueist (you like what I did there? lol) and I think you should be too! Click here to subscribe!

SquareHue The Adventure Collection: Pub Crawl Dublin | March 2016

I am sooo excited about my polishes this month!! They don’t really make me think of a pub crawl, but they definitely make me thing springtime and THAT is exciting to me! I’m so glad it’s finally starting to warm up, which mean spring is upon us and I can start pulling out my lighter colors! Yippee!!

Now, let’s discuss the polishes! My favorite color in this box is called Temple Bar. It is a pastel orange high gloss créme that is opaque in one coat! I just love, love, love this color! I hope it looks as good on my hand as it does in the swatch! The second color in this box is called St. John. It is a sky blue, high gloss creme. This color is also opaque in one coat. There has been a blue polish in every box this year, I’m kind of over the blues. However, this is my favorite shade of blue that they’ve sent this year. I definitely look forward to test driving this color in the coming months! The final color is called Bridge Inn. It is a textured off white color with holographic glitter. It dries with a grainy texture that kind of puts me in the mindset of a nail file. It’s really different and something about the texture makes me really like it! I’ve never worn a white polish before, but maybe the holographic glitter in this polish will push me to try this color out. I may not do a full mani with this color, but at least an accent nail.

SquareHue Decades Collection: 1940s Review

A few weeks ago, SquareHue had a BOGO free sale on their website. Every time they have a sale, I have to indulge. I am trying to get all of their past boxes that came out before I subscribed. I purchased the 1940s box from the Decades Collection as well as the SYDNEY box from the Passport Collection. I will review the second one at a later date.

The 1940s box excited me because I absolutely loved the royal blue metallic polish included in this box. The other colors were winners too! But, the royal blue polish had me SOLD! The colors included in this box are Sorcerer’s Hat 1940 (stunning royal blue shimmer), War Hero 1945 (warm mustard yellow creme gloss), and Mambo (burnt orange (brick) creme gloss). After swatching each color, I am actually excited to try them all! Of course, I will either write a quick blog post for the colors when I wear them or post them to my Instagram page, so make sure you are following me! 🙂

SquareHue Time! | February 2016

Well, it’s that time of the month again! SquareHue TIME! I am always super excited to receive this box because I LOOOOVEEEE nail polish! This month’s theme is Bike Amsterdam. Based off of that theme, I assumed that the colors would be related to nature in a sense, such as greens, blues, maybe a chrome to represent the metal on a bike. I was somewhat right in my guesses for the polishes this month.

The three colors I received this month are Waterland District, Vondelpark, and The Nieuwmarkt. I was disappointed to receive Waterland District in this box because it is another shade of baby blue and is very similar to a color I received in my box last month. I was hoping that they would change it up this year and not repeat similar colors. Anyway, the difference between the color this month and last month is that this color is more of a sky blue and it is a high gloss creme, whereas, the color last month was a baby blue and frosted. I really loved the color Vonderlpark because it is purple and I always love purple nail polishes! It is a deep, eggplant shade! I will definitely be wearing this color before the end of the month! The last color is called The Nieuwmarkt. It is a red polish with pinkish shimmer in it. Valentine’s Day is this weekend and this color may just be the perfect shade for the weekend! We shall see!

I was kind of feeling myself going into the week, so when I’m feeling myself, I like to wear a red nail polish. It adds to my fierceness and sexiness. Just like a red lip, you can never go wrong with red nails. Since I wanted to constantly feel myself this week, I went wanted to go with a true red. Lucky for me, SquareHue sent me a true red in my December subscription box. The color is called Bird Fling and it is amazing! Every time I looked down at my nails, no matter how I was feeling, my mood was instantly lifted and it made me want to do a hair flip and bat my eyelashes! LOL! Anyway, check out my gorgeous red nails below!
